Donations numbers

As of February 2003, technology has been put in service of humanity. Upon the request of the T-Mobile for Macedonia Foundation, the first special donation number was opened. The purpose of this opening was exactly the insistence to increase the circle of humanity – to bring closer those who want to help with those in desperate need of it. Since then, mobile handset became a tool for showing humanity, trough which the citizens of Macedonia can donate to their fellow citizens with urgent need for help and to support of projects of society interest.

Donations numbers can be assigned to physical and legal entities. In both cases, the numbers are assigned for a strictly defined purpose - for physical entities this would be a scheduled surgery in Macedonia or abroad, which is not fully or partially supported by the Public Health Fund, and for legal entities, a project which is in line with the Foundation's strategy.

The decision for opening a donations number is brought by the Management Board of the T-Mobile for Macedonia Foundation. After the final decision is made, the Foundation will contact the donation seeker – the beneficiary, or his/her custodian, for physical entities, or authorized signatory for legal entities, with whom the Contract for cooperation shall be signed.

All use of the donations numbers is fully transparent, as well as the whole fund raising activity. The role of the media is of huge importance in collecting the funds as their support is needed both for popularization of the numbers and for achieving full transparency. Donations are collected by calls generated by users of the Т-Mobile services towards any donation number, with which call 100 denars are donated. 

Donations of 100 denars made by users of prepaid services will be immediately deducted from their accounts, while donations 100 MKD made by post paid customers will be shown in their current monthly bills. 

The total collected funds are then transferred to the beneficiary’s special donations account, as cited in the contract. In transferring all collected donations to physical entities, the personal tax will not be deducted from the total amount. The calculated personal tax is additionally paid by the T-Mobile for Macedonia Foundation, for which a special fund has been designated from the Foundation annual budget.
